Graphics Intro 64kB Using OpenGL
Geršl, Jan ; Kubíček, Radek (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
The field of this project is size restricted graphic intro. The paper deals with motivation creating such an intro and talks briefly about history. Main focus is put on general description of various principles common in demo development, techiques used achieving the practical assignment are provided with more detailed description.
Graphics Intro 64kB Using Ray Tracing
Krupa, Martin ; Navrátil, Jan (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
The object of my bachelor's thesis was to get acquainted with phenomenon of graphics intro with limmited size, to study actual display techniques, which are using real-time ray tracing and make own graphics intro by using these techniques and executable of this intro is limmited to 64kB. The work also briefly introduces history of making graphics intros and reasons for their creation. It contains description of techniques used to create intro and comparation of them. This work also describes own implementation of aplication and its results. Finally there is evaluation of thesis and ways of improvements.
64kB Graphics Intro Based on Ray-Tracing
Butko, Michal ; Polok, Lukáš (referee) ; Havel, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis is concerning about graphic intro with limited size and about techniques based on ray tracing principles. The thesis serves as theoretical introduction and description of a concept and implementation of a graphic intro with limited size to 64kB and based on ray tracing. Acquired informations and resume of created application are mentioned as well. Because of that, this text can serve for eventually study purposes or help with finding answers for similar problems.
Minimal Representation of the Božetěchova Complex
Piovarči, Rastislav ; Kajan, Rudolf (referee) ; Vlček, Adam (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to briefly familiarize the reader with damoscene phenomena as a foundation for creation of minimalistic application, which it implements. Then it explains the process of designing and implementation of minimalistic application which displays the Božetechova complex. The aim of this interactive application is to reproduce the Božetěchova complex in the best possible quality using a restricted size binary file. It uses means like procedural textures on the bases of Perlin noise, or multilevel comprimation and instantiating of model geometry to achieve this goal.
Graphics Intro 64kB Using OpenGL
Fiala, Petr ; Mikolov, Tomáš (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis describes issues of making graphics intro with limited size below 64kB. It contains short introduction to OpenGL, analyses techniques and procedures to reach required small sized application, from compiler settings, procedural texture and model generation to final compression by exe packer application.
64kB Graphics Intro Based on Ray-Tracing
Marek, Tomáš ; Polok, Lukáš (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This paper deals with issues of creating graphic demo. There are shown some methods by which it is possible to fit large models, music and other important things to the program sized at most 64kB. It also seeks for the most robust design of a freamework for creating 64kB demos which could be used in the future and easily extended to provide other functions. The final demo shows the implementation of algorithms described in this thesis.
Graphics Intro 64kB Using OpenGL
Meixner, Ivo ; Vlnas, Michal (referee) ; Milet, Tomáš (advisor)
Cílem této práce byla implementace a popis grafického intra pomocí OpenGL, s velikostí spustitelného souboru do 64 KiB. Vzniklý program vykresluje 3D animaci imitující přírodní prostředí pomocí kombinace různých technik do jedné scény.
Computer Games as a New Media Phenomenon
Rylich, Jan ; Chýla, Roman (advisor) ; Šisler, Vít (referee)
Computer Games as a New Media Phenomenon Jan Rylich 1 1 [ T H E S I S ] Jan Rylich Abstract: This thesis is focused on the development of computer games and video games, evolution of gaming and game technologies and their impact on our society. In addition to an important historical context and practical and theoretical analysis of game genres and potential of games, key chapters of this thesis are devoted to the importance of games and their impact on various aspects of our lives, from economic and demographic factors to influence on our culture and contemporary art. This thesis also aims to introduce computer games and video games in the context of "neglected media" and the theory of "remediation".
